I am already excited about this winter season.  I can't remember the last time we had an accumulating snow BEFORE Thanksgiving.  The cold weather and blowing snow yesterday while driving home from work was amazing!

If you have some pictures from the storm, feel free to post them - or add them to the gallery.

I was unaware that the registration to the BBS was not working due to the captcha graphic image being broken.  Thanks fotr John for pointing that out.  Things should work now - and i Have upgraded the entire system to the latest version.  All the mods have been re-installed and upgraded.

Hopefully we will start to see some activity on here now that things are fixed.

Thanks!

Wow, what an exciting light show we had today, complete with dime sized hail!  The first of several thunderstorms that passed through the Bel Air area today was a huge one.  There was cloud rotation in this particular storm and we had dime sized hail bouncing all over the place.  The lightning was intense, and so was the rain.  Not too much wind to speak of at my location, however.

I will post another message with pictures of the hail from this storm.

In case you have been following this evening's intense rain here in Maryland, we broke my weather station's all time record for most rain in 1 hour.  2.97 inches of rain fell in one hour.  It also was raining .39 inches of rain PER MINUTE!  We have major heavy storms lined up the I-95 section and they are not moving very much.  The cold front is a slow mover and we are in for some major rain tonight.  Will see what the total brings in the AM.

I am curious to see how many people on here use this weather site, in part to check the weather before they go riding.

I am considering starting a poll on this forum to see how many people would like to see former Governor Ehrlich run again for Governor of Maryland.

Personally, I think he was the best governor we have had in Maryland in my lifetime.

We had the opportunity to check out the new Redners Market on the corner of I-543 and Conowingo Rd this past week.  The prices are fantastic on many items.  There are some that are at or the same as Kliens or Target, but overall, lots of good deals to be had.  Redners Market also has great produce, low prices on salads, pies, frozen dinners - to list a few things.

I'm interested in hearing what others in the area think.  The other big bonus is that the store is only 2 minutes away from us.  Smiley  With the price of gas right now, that is additional savings..

We are going to have a sharp change in temperatures within the next 24 hours.  The nice weather we have had recently will be ending, and it will start to feel like late fall.  I enjoy the change of seasons..

I just recently upgraded the communication forums (BBS) to a more recent version, and have added several modifications.

I hope to bring back some of the old BBS days, or at least start some conversation on various subjects.  I'm open for suggestions for new forums, moderators of forums, etc.  It doesn't have to be limited to weather.

Hope everyone enjoys the system, plays some games, checks out the chat room, etc..
